Celebrating My 58th Birthday

Celebrating My 58th Birthday

Today is my Birthday, and it has been awesome so far. I started yesterday with my wife Lori, as we had planned by skydiving for the first time together! The day started out rainy here in So. California, and we weren’t sure if the weather was going to cooperate. We gave it a go anyway, which was the beginning of a huge day of challenges for us.

To start with, we showed up at the airport to fill out the paper work and do the dreaded weigh-in! The weight limit is 240 and I weighed my self at home and I was at 236. The scale at the weigh-in showed me at 246!!! Darn, was I bummed. The girl that was in charge of the scale was very strict, as it should be for safety.

The rain turned out to be a blessing for me! I went home and put on my sweat pants and hooded sweat shirt and ran on the treadmill for one hour and 10 minutes! I was so glad I have been doing some exercises recently. I lost 8 pounds and weighed in at 238!! Whew… Good to go!!

This was the most awesome thing that I have done in a long time. The best part was that I was able to share it with Lori. If you ever get a chance to go sky diving don’t pass it up!
